The National Protection and Rescue Directorate (DUZS) and DOK-ING have signed the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation, including business, professional and educational cooperation in the field of civil protection. The Agreement has been signed for the purpose of enhancing the civil protection system on the basis of new advanced technologies and robotized systems.

The Agreement stipulates that DOK-ING provides the multifunctional complete robotized system with a crew in support of The National Protection and Rescue Directorate’s tasks and missions. The complete system consists of a remote controlled MVF-5, a logistic-transport vehicle with an integrated Tactical Operational Center, and is serviced by two crew members of DOK-ING.

The agreement also envisages the formation of a joint team of experts that will work on the introduction of remote controlled systems into Republic of Croatia's protection and rescue system, development of strategies, tactics and operational procedures, rules and regulations for the DUZS capabilities, training firefighters and civil protection. DOK-ING and DUZS will work together on the further development and improvement of robotic systems for crisis response.

Both organizations have also confirmed the intention of joint participation in domestic and international exhibitions and exercises, where DUZS will use DOK-ING’s robotic systems as their own state of the art capabilities. This agreement will also serve as a great promotion of Croatia’s technological capacities in addressing the use of robotics in protection and rescue operations.

The Agreement has been signed by the director of DUZS, dr. Dragan Lozančić and the President of the Management Board of DOK-ING, Vjekoslav Majetić.
